For our Algebra 2 tutoring program we assign students credentialed math teachers who have taught the subject currently or in the past. The benefit to having an Algebra 2 tutor who is also a teacher is that in the State of California all teachers must teach the same mathematical standards for Algebra 2, so the tutor will be very grounded in his or her approach to the subject matter.

Algebra 2 is considered an intermediate Algebra and serves as a gateway to Trigonometry and Calculus. A firm foundation in the subject is currently required by virtually every high school and college in the United States.  Algebra 2 includes the following topics: conic sections; functions and their graphs; quadratic functions and inverse functions; advanced polynomial functions; an introduction to rational, exponential and logarithmic functions; more intense focus on factoring; sequences and series; and data analysis.  Our Algebra 2 tutors will build on similar concepts which were hopefully included in your Algebra 1 foundation and will prepare you for the aforementioned courses in advanced mathematics.
