We tutor all math subjects online, including pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. When algebra is taken many say that it is harder to understand than calculus when first learning the course. Much of our tutoring is for algebra. Algebra can be very hard for students to learn because concepts build upon each other VERY often and once a student get lost they will stay lost unless additional help is found. With our online tutoring program we make sure students are proficient with fractions, story problems, graphing and arithmetic.
Geometry is another subject that causes many students problems. Unlike Algebra some concepts are autonomous so a student can miss a concept and learn the following concept. What makes Geometry hard is the word that strikes fear into students PROOFS. Up to this point students are used to be given the mathematical knowledge but with proofs they are asked to critically think about why something is true.
If proofs are not taught properly they are extremely hard for students to write and understand. All of our math teachers who are geometry experts understand how to not only teach proofs but make geometry fun. While geometry can be difficult at times which lead to students feeling like giving up when taught tight geometry can be a very exciting and interesting class.
