Meet Amanda C.
Amanda looks forward to supporting students throughout the writing process, building their skills and confidence as they think through arguments and build strong essays.
She tutored composition throughout her undergraduate studies and then taught English composition and English literature for nine years at Duquesne University while in graduate school. She is ABD (all but dissertation) in English Literature. She believes in a collaborative and positive working relationship that strengthens the skills already in place and builds on them to increase critical thinking and success in both the classroom and testing environments.
She earned a B.A. in English and a degree in Anthropology from California State University, Fresno. She tutors English, literature, writing, essay writing, and composition, including AP English Language and AP English Literature.
