Meet Ariana W.

Ariana is currently a full-time Ph.D. student at the University of California, Irvine, where she conducts research in Medieval literature.

Before beginning her doctoral studies, Ariana taught high school English at Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, CA, from 2022 to 2025. She developed and implemented CCSS-aligned lesson plans for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English classes, including Honors courses, and led a 4-week Summer Bridge program for incoming freshmen. She is proficient in Google Classroom and PowerSchool and is certified to teach AP Language & Composition.

In 2023, Ariana worked as an English tutor at a tutoring company in Redondo Beach.

From 2019 to 2022, Ariana served as an Adjunct Instructor at Biola University in La Mirada, CA, where she taught English courses emphasizing critical thinking and writing skills. She designed and executed engaging lesson plans, facilitated discussions, and supported student development.
