Meet Habsat B.

During her time at the University of North Texas, Habsat developed strong tutoring and student-support experience through several leadership roles. As a senior student leader tutor, she provided subject-specific guidance to students across a range of science courses, helping them strengthen their understanding of difficult concepts and build confidence in their academic abilities. In this role, she regularly met with students one-on-one, clarified challenging material, and supported them in getting ahead in their coursework.

In addition, as a College of Science Ambassador, Habsat hosted office hours, led outreach events, and helped undergraduate science majors navigate their classes and academic requirements. This experience strengthened her ability to explain complex topics clearly and to support students with different learning styles.

As President of M.A.P.S., she also mentored pre-health freshmen, assisting them with their transition to college and helping them improve their study habits, communication skills, and overall academic readiness. Across all these roles, Habsat focused on creating an encouraging, approachable environment where students felt comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material.
