Meet Laura W.
Laura loves giving students the opportunity to have fun with a subject that may be difficult for them. Her tutoring sessions are a safe space for students to ask in-depth questions and gain the confidence to solve complex problems. Her previous tutoring experience includes private tutoring in Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Chemistry, and Environmental Science. Her previous teaching experience includes 4 certificates in environmental education, curriculum creation and delivery from elementary to adult levels, and research in theories of developmental thinking.
In college, Laura founded the Biomimicry Club, during which she conducted weekly learning sessions leading educational seminars about biomimicry case studies. Students have told her that she explains material in ways that resonate with their individual learning styles.
