Meet Marcela C.

Marcela has been an educator, tutor, and curriculum designer for over 12 years, specializing in multicultural education and science, bilingualism, Spanish language instruction, AP Spanish Language & Culture preparation, English Language Arts, writing, reading comprehension, and academic coaching. Marcela earned a Master's Degree in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, completing a thesis with honors, with studies focused on energy transition, clean technologies/technology, and international public policy. Coursework includes development and the environment, global issues, human rights, research, and comparative policy. Marcela graduated with a 4.0 GPA and served as a research and thesis development lead in the cohort.

Marcela's teaching experience spans public and private teaching and tutoring, language academies, university programs, and independent instruction across the United States, Brazil, and Colombia. Marcela has worked with students K-12, university, and professional learners, tailoring instruction across diverse subjects and specific industries, as well as providing personalized instruction in Spanish from beginner to advanced levels, including conversational Spanish, grammar, writing, cultural studies, and AP Spanish preparation. Marcela also supports students in English Language Arts and bilingualism, essay writing, research projects, critical thinking, Earth Science, Environmental Science, and climate and sustainability topics.
