Meet Nanma P.

Nanma has over four years of tutoring and teaching experience across a range of ages and subjects. She worked as a writing tutor at UC Riverside's Academic Resource Center, where she supported college students with essays, research papers, and writing assignments across disciplines. She helped students at every stage of the writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to revising and polishing their work.

Before that, she worked for three years as an assistant instructor at Kumon, where she guided K–12 students through individualized math and reading programs. She enjoyed working with students of all ages and learning styles, helping them build foundational skills and confidence in their learning. She's also supported peers informally with writing, study strategies, and test prep, including AP U.S. History, which she self-studied and scored a 5 on.

Across all of these roles, Nanma has learned to be patient, adaptable, and encouraging. She believes that academic support is just as much about helping students feel capable and heard as it is about mastering content.
