Meet Nina C.

Nina has experience tutoring and teaching students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in both one-on-one and small-group settings. She worked as a Humanities Teacher at a public charter high school, where she provided individualized and small-group academic support, taught reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills, and helped students build study habits, organization skills, and academic confidence. She monitored student progress and adjusted instruction based on student needs.

During college, Nina served as a service-learning tutor supporting elementary and middle school students with reading, writing, math, and homework completion. She also volunteered as a tutor at a bilingual elementary school, providing one-on-one support in reading, writing, and math, and using Spanish as needed to support student comprehension.

Across all of these experiences, Nina's tutoring style is supportive, patient, and adaptable. She aims to meet students where they are, break down concepts into manageable steps, and help them feel capable and confident in their learning.
