Meet Owen N.

Owen served as a Teacher's Assistant at a Math Enrichment Summer Camp for two summers. He engaged in one-on-one tutoring with a variety of 6th and 7th grade students in pre-Algebra and Algebra concepts. He also tutored these students in 6th and 7th grade level English, essay writing, and literature analysis.

Since 2017, Owen has served as a mentor in the Astronomy event for his alma mater high school's Science Olympiad team. His relevant tutoring includes teaching Algebra, Algebra 2, and Physics concepts for first-time students learning above their grade level, in addition to the Astronomy and Astrophysics material covered. Teaching is conducted in hour-long classroom sessions or in one-on-one and small group sessions.

Owen also has additional experience teaching these Astronomy-related subjects virtually via Zoom from 2020 to 2022, and to a lesser extent from 2017 to 2019.
