My grandfather was superintendent of SJ Unified and my father was a math teacher, coach and counselor at Wilcox HS in Santa Clara. My partner, sister in-law and brother in-law are all teachers in SCUSD, as well. I studied Biology at SCU with a heavy concentration in physics and chemistry. I went on to also study exercise physiology, anatomy, kinesiology and injury assessment and rehabilitation, post-grad.
