How each result is worked out
- Mean (average): add every number, then divide by how many numbers there are.
- Median (middle): put the numbers in order and take the middle one. With an even count, average the middle two.
- Mode (most common): the number that shows up most often. A list can have one mode, several, or none.
- Range: the largest number minus the smallest.
