Frayer Model Generator
The Frayer Model is a classic 4-box organizer that pushes students past memorizing a definition into truly owning a word — its meaning, its traits, and clear examples and non-examples. Enter one term or a whole list, add optional definitions, and generate clean organizers sized to print one per page. It's completely free, and nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere — everything runs right in your browser.
Build your organizers
Enter one term per line. Add an optional definition after a colon or a dash, e.g. Photosynthesis: how plants make food from light. Each term becomes its own printable page.
Your Frayer Model organizers will appear here.

Questions about this tool
What does this tool do?
It builds the classic 4-quadrant Frayer Model vocabulary organizer for any word you enter — with the term in a center circle and boxes for Definition, Characteristics, Examples, and Non-Examples. Enter a whole list and it makes one printable page per term.
Is it free and private?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser — the terms and definitions you type are never saved or sent anywhere. Close the tab and it's gone.
Any tips for using it well?
Leave the boxes blank so students do the thinking, or fill in the definition to scaffold. Try the alternate label sets (Synonyms/Antonyms, or Picture/Symbol) to match your subject, and use Print / Save as PDF for a clean one-per-page handout.
