Meet Alicia G.

Alicia is a credentialed teacher with over five years of experience in early childhood and elementary education, specializing in literacy, project-based learning, and emotional literacy. She currently teaches a Transitional Kindergarten class at The Rhoades School, where she differentiates instruction across Kindergarten to 2nd-grade levels. Her approach is deeply student-centered, integrating inquiry-based learning, social-emotional development, and equitable teaching practices.

In addition to classroom teaching, Alicia has worked one-on-one and in small groups providing reading and math intervention. She has tutored students in grades TK through 5th both in-person and online, and she designs individualized lessons that align with each child's learning goals and interests. Her tutoring style is playful, structured, and rooted in building strong foundational skills while nurturing confidence and curiosity.

Outside the classroom, Alicia founded "Emotional Literacy for Littles," where she coached families and created SEL curriculum to strengthen regulation, resilience, and communication in young learners. She is also trained in structured SOR literacy methods.
