Meet Ashley W.
Ashley graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University. She works as a medical assistant in an orthopedic surgery clinic while studying for the MCAT to apply to MD/PhD programs. She is dedicated to helping students gain understanding of difficult topics, and she enjoys tailoring her methods to best suit each student's individual needs.
While completing her undergraduate degree, Ashley taught supplemental instruction courses to groups of 20-30 students who were having trouble following the lectures in general chemistry and physics (mechanics, electricity, and magnetism). She wrote the lesson plans and quizzes, instructed students, gave them feedback, and graded their assignments, evaluating each student's individual needs to make sure they succeeded in the course.
Aside from academics, Ashley enjoys practicing yoga, going on hikes, and relaxing with her two cats. Every Elite tutor is personally interviewed, reference-checked, and background-checked before working with a student.
