Meet Cassie D.
Cassie is a UCLA graduate who began tutoring and teaching at SDSU while pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. After graduation, she worked as an SDSU adjunct professor/lecturer for the Department of English & Comparative Literature and the Department of Rhetoric Writing Studies. As her family grew, she taught intermittently for SDSU. Currently, she has a son with special needs attending Palomar College and a daughter who graduated from UC Berkeley this May. Besides teaching college, Cassie has experience in K-12 and special education methods and teaching, and she currently works as a substitute teacher in multiple districts in San Diego.
As an educator, Cassie welcomes students from all backgrounds and learning styles, including neurodivergent thinkers.
She specializes in tailoring her methods to each student's learning style and academic goals. Her tutoring skills are designed to foster independent thinking and long-term academic success.
