Meet Celina S.

Celina has extensive teaching experience that spans college-level instruction and K-12 education. At UC San Diego, she served as a Teaching Assistant for courses such as Neurobiology Laboratory (BIPN 145), Developmental Neurobiology (BIPN 144), and Neuroanatomy (BIPN 160). In these roles, she guided students through complex topics, led discussions, and provided personalized feedback to help them succeed academically. This experience deeply taught her what students need to thrive in college and beyond.

In addition, she has worked as a Substitute Teacher, teaching across all grade levels and subject areas, including special education and after-school programs. These roles honed her ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and academic goals. Her background in neurobiology (B.S.) and biology (M.S.) allows her to simplify complex concepts, making them accessible and engaging for students.

Celina is passionate about helping students excel academically and preparing them for future success by helping them master coursework, improve their study strategies, or build confidence in their abilities.
