Meet Daniel E.

Daniel began teaching ESL and tutoring English Language Learners at San Fernando Valley Academy around 2007. He taught English classes at the Language Door from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, he was trained in AP U.S. History and received a certificate of AP training from the College Board. That same year, he taught AP U.S. History, World History, Government, and Economics at Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy.

Before the pandemic led to widespread teacher layoffs in the region, Daniel taught AP World History, Geography, and English 1 & 3 Literature and Composition at La Sierra Academy from 2019 to 2020. From July 2020 to July 2023, he taught English remotely for Advanced English Academy in San Francisco and taught in-person AP Language, American Literature, British Literature, and World Literature courses.

Daniel also taught ESL, English Speaking, and Reading & Writing classes for one year at UCSD's English Language Institute.

Since January 2025, Daniel has been tutoring Economics, English, Science, 8th grade Math, and Algebra 1 for a tutoring company, bringing years of classroom and tutoring experience to help students build confidence and succeed academically.
