Meet Komal R.

Komal has extensive tutoring experience with students ranging from elementary all the way through college level seniors. She first began tutoring during her undergraduate years, where she worked as a mentor for first generation and disadvantaged Asian Pacific Islander and Native American students pursuing a science degree.

Komal finds that students learn best when the topic is catered to their interests and when their strengths are utilized to master their weaknesses. As a tutor, she encourages her students to ask questions and explore the subject matter beyond what is present in the textbooks by using real life examples. She enjoys learning more about her students beyond just their academics and likes to connect with them at a level that they feel most comfortable.
