Meet LK N.

LK is a licensed teacher from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and she is incredibly excited to help students in their pursuit of knowledge.

As a lifelong caretaker of children, she has always had a passion for helping children and teens move through their lives with curiosity, compassion, and critical thinking. With the rise of technology and the trauma so many young people experienced during and after COVID-19, she believes it is more important than ever that educators focus not just on the academic success of their students, but also on supporting them in growing and thriving in their communities.

Her teaching style is one of collaboration, fun, and hands-on learning. She encourages productive struggle, curiosity, asking questions, and making mistakes. Often, when students struggle, they can fall into a pattern of believing that they can't. That is why she works hard to make sure each and every one of her students develops a growth mindset, so that even after she is done working with them, they know they can do anything they put their mind to. It's not that they can't do it — it's that they can't do it yet. Every Elite tutor is personally interviewed, reference-checked, and background-checked before working with a student.
