Meet Matthew G.
Matthew has worked with autistic and special needs children for many years. He is currently on academic leave from a graduate studies program at Alliant International University in Scripps Ranch (San Diego). The program is a clinical psychology PhD program, so between his academic success in that field, plus having tutored and worked directly with a variety of ages of clients, often on academic-related activities, he is confident in his ability to help others learn.
During the COVID lockdown, the tutoring company he worked with had to quickly transition to teaching purely online, so working virtually is not foreign to him whatsoever. While working for that company, he attended community college classes and tutored his autistic clients in their rudimentary college courses, so he is very confident in his ability to help out middle and high school students as well, neurotypical or not.
Matthew received a 780 on his math SAT, and math has always come easily to him. He took the Psychology AP exam, so he knows he could help prep someone for that, especially given his continued study in that area. Additionally, he has a minor in Anthropology from his Bachelor's degree, and is very familiar with and passionate about that area of study.
He has worked with all ages, so no age is very intimidating to him. Tutoring and teaching is something Matthew finds very fun and fulfilling.
Matthew studied at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and Alliant International University, San Diego (California School of Professional Psychology). Every Elite tutor is personally interviewed, reference-checked, and background-checked before working with a student.
