Meet Matthew S.

Matthew's most relevant experience comes from working at a private tutoring institution in Chino Hills, CA. His role there was twofold: first as an instructor of classrooms ranging in size from 15-30 students, on the subjects of English (8th and 9th grade) and Math (5th and 6th grade), alternating between the two throughout the week; and second as a private tutor for a vast variety of students and subjects, ranging from 2nd-grade arithmetic up to 12th grade AP English and college admission essays.

Matthew has developed profound versatility in working in this hybrid role, not only in terms of subject matter and student demographics but also in accruing lived experience in both the tutor role and the teacher role. He also has experience with students with various learning challenges and/or disabilities, e.g., ADD/ADHD and the Autism spectrum.
