Meet Nyan K.

Nyan has been a freelance, private tutor for the past five years. She teaches students from grades K-12, helping them improve their academic performance in school, prepare for college exams/essays (for older students), and help build study habits.

Many of her students were learning English as a second language, which required her to tailor her lessons to be at each individual's English level and academic needs. As such, she's also familiar with being in a mentorship role for her students. As she tends to stick with her students for longer periods of time (at least over a year), she's come to wear many different hats while tutoring. She has experience tutoring in all ranges of subjects beyond English, including test prep, college essay writing, mathematics (up until Algebra level), sciences (biology and psychology to high school level), and history (up to AP U.S. level).

Nyan has been tutoring consistently since she graduated from UCLA last summer, and is in the process of earning a teaching certification.
