Meet Simran D.

Simran has seven years of experience as a paid tutor at Rutgers University, where she tutored 8 to 12 students a week in college-level English and writing courses, with a specialization in research writing. That included teaching students how to research topics, as well as how to write business proposals, research proposals, and research papers. During her seven years at the Rutgers Writing Center, she also co-taught and tutored remedial English two summers in a row, to two cohorts of 10 to 12 students.

She also has experience tutoring high school math, primarily prealgebra and algebra, and informal experience tutoring elementary subjects — she is comfortable and experienced in elementary English, math, social studies and history, and science. Professionally, she has led health education sessions and trainings, and she is a licensed Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
