Meet Victoria M.

Victoria is a credentialed teacher with seven years of K-12 teaching experience. She is bilingual and has experience working with neurodiverse students.

Victoria graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing. While she was completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a tutor in various elementary and middle schools.

She spent the last four years teaching English in South San Diego. During her last position at High Tech High, a project-based school that practices Universal Design for Learning through culturally responsive, engaging, hands-on projects where students learn through experience instead of the traditional textbook-and-exam approach, she taught 10th grade English. She also taught 12th grade Advisory, where she helped students write, format, and submit college essays and personal statements.

Through her journey as an educator, Victoria has learned that she loves working with students one-on-one and in small group settings because she enjoys building rapport and providing the best customized support for students.
